Jamaica Hummingbird Pendant
The beautiful Red-billed streamertail hummingbird is the national bird of Jamaica and is featured on the 25-cent coin. The streamertail is the most abundant member of the hummingbird family on the island and is found nowhere else. The male has two long feathers on either side of its tail that are up to 7 inches long, which is considerably larger than the bird’s body. These tails make a humming sound when the bird flies.
This pendant features the hummingbird and flowers are meticulously hand cut on the inside of the coin and electroplated platinum and 24k gold. Each finished coin is mounted in a beautifully handcrafted silver setting with a colored background of dyed aluminum available in green, blue, red, plum purple, teal and copper or black oxidized.
